THE WORLD HAS GONE ROGUE –
WE ARE THE AUTHORS OF OUR OWN MISFORTUNE
Stes de Necker
Today I remember again the words of the song written by Burt
Bacharach and Hal David:
‘What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No not just for some but for everyone.’
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No not just for some but for everyone.’
Never in its history has the world been in so much need
for love.
Thousands of religious groups and churches preach ‘Peace
and Love for All’, but never has the world been more removed and distanced from
peace and love then now.
Instead of building bridges, we are building walls; Instead
of making peace, we make war.
Governments have lost their moral compasses; Nations are rioting
against their leaders; children are rebellion against their parents; spouses
are killing each other and disobedience and heresy is running wild in all
sectors of society.
Where has it all gone so wrong?
More importantly, what will it take to fix it again?
The world is on a path of self destruction and unless we
wake up now, we will be the sole authors of own misfortune.
